Gas Solenoid Valves N.C. DN200
GAS GAS solenoid valves are PED certified (CE 0497) and are designed to be installed on the gas supply pipe and connected to a leak detection system. They cut off the gas supply in the event of a hazard detected by a sensor or control device installed in the monitored area.
All solenoid valves are manual reset, in accordance with the Italian standard CEI UNI EN 50 194 for gas detection systems.
To avoid accidental closures caused by brief mains power outages, our normally closed (N.C.) 230V AC manual reset solenoid valves are equipped with a power supply that ignores short-term power interruptions (<30 msec).
Since the N.C. valve is constantly powered when open, it will only close in the absence of power — either due to a command from the connected detector or due to a power failure.
The N.C. valve therefore provides a higher level of safety than a normally open valve, as it also performs its safety function in the event of a power failure (positive safety).
These solenoid valves are referred to as "manual reset" because they require human intervention to return to their initial state after activation. They are built in compliance with European standards and PED certified (CE 0496 and CE 0497).
Their simple and reliable operation ensures high dependability. They are made of aluminium.
The solenoid valve is normally positioned after a filter, outside the monitored environment and upstream of the regulation devices.
It must be installed with the arrow (engraved on the body) pointing towards the user. Reset is performed by pulling the plunger upward along the axis using the handle, which is initially screwed vertically onto the shaft.
Unscrew the handle, screw it in horizontally, and perform the reset by pulling upward. Don’t forget to screw it back into the vertical position after the reset.
